Mission
The Office of Student Care is dedicated to the spiritual, intellectual and emotional growth of NPU students and provides a number of opportunities to help facilitate a positive student experience.

Student Care Services
College life often presents students with stressful situations (e.g., academic, interpersonal, family, work, financial) and North Park University’s Office of Student Care offers a range of services to assist students with the many challenges that they are presented with. Staff is available to students whether they are feeling overwhelmed and need assistance or simply have a personal concern they wish to discuss. Student Care is devoted to advancing the mission of the university by nurturing students in the areas of transition anxiety, conflict resolution and crisis intervention. These services are designed to:
- Address the holistic needs of undergraduate students.
- Provide advocacy, mediation and referral services to students in support of the educational mission of the University.
- Provide individual and group advising on non-crisis issues such as homesickness, personal relationships, roommate concerns, etc.
- Maintain an environment conducive to academic success
- Develop responsible leaders and thoughtful citizens
- Encourage students to assume personal responsibility for their decisions
COMPASS Program
COMPASS is an intensive ten day program designed to specifically provide incoming first-year students with the necessary tools to handle the academic and social challenges of college life.
The Wellness Board supports a culture of wellness on the campus of North Park University that will help students establish healthy lifestyle patterns, by addressing the growing demand for intervention and treatment.

EARS
The Early Alert Reporting System (EARS) allows faculty and staff to directly contribute to student retention and wellness by identifying and assisting students who are having academic and/or other difficulties. More details on EARS.
