North Park University Faith in our Future

Faith In Our Future

The Faith In Our Future campaign raised funds for two primary areas critical to North Park’s future growth: Brandel Library and the Endowment. Additional projects funded by Faith In Our Future included Viking Café.

Brandel Library

The completion of the state-of-the-art Paul W. and Bernice P. Brandel Library was simply the beginning in the University's major plan to improve its historic campus in recent years, and what a beginning it was! Dedicated in 2001, Brandel Library combines form and function beautifully. A stately three-story tower overlooks a landscape ellipse and a set of cascading stairs leading to tree-lined walkways. Inside, attractive study spaces, meeting areas, and group-study rooms create an atmosphere that is at once inviting and conducive to concentration. The library itself holds half a million items, including books, periodicals, government publications, and more-and the library's online resources can link you to millions more materials in collections around the world.

The Endowment

Because North Park’s tuition only covers a portion of the university’s costs, endowment investments offer the school additional means for generating income. North Park University’s endowment enables us to maintain and improve buildings and grounds, support innovative academic and extracurricular programs, and invest in the students and faculty. A strong endowment is a sign of strength and a tangible measure of the future.

Viking Café

Proving to be a popular addition to North Park, the Viking Café opened its doors in the spring of 2004, featuring a new kitchen, menu, seating, and decorating. It also has wireless network access for students with laptops as well as a wireless network card. Three new widescreen televisions attract many for special events and CNN. The Viking Café is located in the Carlson Tower/Gymnasium Complex.
