Academics
Objectives
North Park Theological Seminary develops students, faculty, and staff for sharing in Christ's ministry by encountering one another in the practice of a mature Christian life, nurturing the whole person in the context of a worshiping, caring community, and training students for ministry in all its diversity.
This includes preparing them to articulate the gospel clearly and in love, to live and work under Scripture's authority, to communicate what is valuable for the present and future from our Christian heritage, and to skillfully and creatively exercise suitable gifts for the edification and extension of Christ's church.
Organization
Academic studies are organized into five major fields: biblical, historical, theological, ministerial, and spiritual formation. Studies in each of these fields are designed to acquaint the student with the ideas, materials, and resources foundational to an informed, dedicated, and relevant ministry.
The Academic Calendar for 2009-10 provides an outline of our semesters, including two intensives in January and June.
