Community
North Park Seminary
North Park Theological Seminary is an educational institution, but it is also a community of students, faculty, staff and families who worship, eat, pray, work and play together. Through events such as weekly potlucks, retreats, chapel services, and Bible studies and activities such as Seminary basketball and softball teams, relationships are forged and strengthened. The Seminary Student Handbook provides detailed information on Seminary community life.
North Park University
North Park Seminary is part of the wider North Park University community and benefits from its many services, sports, concerts, and speakers. The Collaboratory for Urban and Intercultural Learning at the University offers forums that feature seminary professors and programs that serve seminary students. Rev. Velda Love, Director, Justice and Intercultural Learning, is a liason between the University and the Seminary on Justice issues. Seminary students mentor undergrad students in small groups, attend University Ministries concerts and serve as chaplains for NPU sports teams. The connections are many and varied and provide mutual strength and encouragement.
Albany Park and North Park
The diverse community of the Albany Park and North Park neighborhood provides opportunities for ministry and a rich cultural setting in its festivals, block parties, restaurants and stores.
