Friday, August 9: Commuter Student Orientation Day

New first-year and transfer commuter students begin their orientation activities a couple of weeks before resident students arrive on campus. By attending this Commuter Student Orientation Day, you'll be able to skip some long lines on Welcome Day (August 21). You'll also have the opportunity to take a math, Spanish, music, or writing challenge exam; meet and connect with other new commuter students; get your questions answered; get your student ID; and buy your commuter parking sticker. Get all the details and the schedule for Commuter Student Orientation Day.

Starting on Wednesday, August 21, commuter students will join the rest of our incoming students for all Threshold Week activities listed below. Make sure you check out when to show up on campus on Welcome Day so you don't miss out on important details.

Monday, August 19: International Student Orientation Begins

New international students begin their orientation activities a few days earlier, to get acclimated to the United States and take care of a few other details. Starting on Wednesday, international students will join the rest of our incoming students for all the Threshold Week events listed below. Get all the details you need for Monday and Tuesday events from the International Office.

Monday, August 26: First Day of Classes

Check your schedule and set your alarm: your first classes could be bright and early Monday morning! Take our advice and make sure you grab a good breakfast (and perhaps some coffee) as you start your day. Your professors are excited to greet you, and you've got some learning ahead.

And, don't forget, people you met throughout Threshold Week are available to answer your questions, point you toward resources, or simply offer a familiar face and a friendly conversation. Welcome to our school: we're proud you're now a North Park Viking.
