North Park Theological Seminary offers specialized certificates that represent are 12 to 15 semester hours of graduate course work in a particular area of ministry. Certificates are flexible; students are encouraged to work with an advisor to tailor course requirements if desired and where possible. A certificate may stand alone for non-degree seeking students or can serve as a concentration within a degree program.
Courses are offered online, during the regular semester, and as intensives in the J-term and summer. Consult the requirements of each particular certificate and the course schedule for details.
Normally, independent studies and transfer credits do not fulfill the requirements of a North Park Theological Seminary certificate. However a course substitution may be permitted if previously taken or if vocational needs warrant.
Students should select electives in collaboration with their advisor and with a view to the needs of their future ministry.
