End of Studies
Final Year of Studies: End of Studies Evaluation
This evaluation is for all degree seeking students and orientation students, when they have completed 2/3 of their degree (or during the fall semester before they graduate, for on-campus students). Each student will meet with a committee composed of two faculty and a peer advocate.
In preparation, the student will reflect on a series of questions relating to ministry and write a one page statement focusing on a theological issue and how it relates to ministry.
Purpose
The purpose of this evaluation is to:
- Assist the student in evaluating his/her gifts.
- Ascertain if the student has a realistic view of his her abilities.
- Determine readiness for ministry.
The faculty team will fill out an evaluation for each student assessing their readiness for ministry and submit it to the Dean of Students. A summary of the report will be submitted to the entire faculty.
Evangelical Covenant Students
For those seeking placement in the Evangelical Covenant Church, a recommendation will be presented to the conference superintendents.
